On January 23, the 9th Northeast Asia Ice and Snow Auto and Motorcycle Sports Conference, alongside the Northeast Asia Ice Rally, got underway in Tumen City, Yanbian Prefecture of Northeast China's Jilin Province. More than 80 drivers from 42 teams across China and abroad took on frozen and mixed-surface stages, bringing high-speed excitement to this winter border city.
Covering 126 kilometers across 11 special stages, the rally blends icy roads, mountain asphalt and urban streets, testing both skill and endurance. With top names such as Zhang Guoyu in the field, competitors will battle over two days for titles in the two-wheel-drive, four-wheel-drive and UTV categories, showcasing how ice and snow sports are fueling both competition and winter tourism in northeast China.
