LONDON, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Everton manager David Moyes has described Jack Grealish's injury as a "big blow" after the winger was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his foot.

The 30-year-old is currently on a season-long loan from Manchester City and has featured prominently for Everton, making 22 appearances in all competitions. During that time, Grealish has scored two goals and provided six assists.

"It's a big blow because he's been hugely important to us since the start of the season," said Moyes.

"It's not for me to give the timescales - we've not got it from the doctors yet," he said.

Grealish completed the full 90 minutes in Everton's 1-0 Premier League victory over his former club Aston Villa on Sunday.

Everton, who sits 10th in the table, is set to host Leeds United on Monday.

Moyes confirmed that Everton is maintaining regular communication with Manchester City regarding Grealish's situation while he recovers.

He also played down any immediate speculation that the injury might affect a potential permanent transfer in the summer.

"We're not thinking about it at the moment. We're only thinking about Jack. We're upset and disappointed for him that he's got an injury," he said.
